This is a members-only event for named Historic Royal Palaces members only. All attendees must hold a valid membership at the time of the event. Terms and conditions apply.

Bring your own picnic, lay out your blanket or set up your chairs and enjoy the peaceful calm of Kew Gardens on a summers evening. With time and space to truly relax, you can enjoy a game of croquet or 'hoop and stick' on the lawn, surrounded by the charm of this historic setting.
Take this opportunity to explore Queen Charlotte's Cottage, a secluded retreat used by Queen Charlotte, her husband George III and their family. With knowledgeable Palace Hosts on hand, you’ll uncover the stories behind this secluded sanctuary.

- This event is limited to Queen Charlotte’s Cottage. Access to other areas of Kew Gardens is not included with this event.
- The entrance and meeting point for this event is Lion's Gate, which is a 15 minute walk to Queen Charlotte's Cottage.
- This exclusive event has a limited number of tickets so you can enjoy the tranquil space without the crowds.
- Please help us to keep the gardens clean and take your rubbish with you at the end of the evening.
- In the event of bad weather, we may have to cancel the picnic evening; refunds will be available in this case.
