Tickets go on sale 27 May at noon.

Price: £5.00 for member adults, children part of a membership go free.

All attendees, including children under 5, require a ticket.

This is a members-only event for named Historic Royal Palaces members only. All attendees must hold a valid membership at the time of the event.

Tickets are limited and subject to availability. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Relax in the Wilderness and Great Fountain Garden after-hours on this members-only evening.* Bring your own picnic to enjoy in the iconic gardens, and treat yourself to a delicious ice cream.

Lay out your blanket or set up your chairs, and why not bring a few games to enjoy during a wonderful evening in these majestic surroundings. Take a peaceful stroll, spot wildlife in Home Park and on the Long Water, catch up with fellow members or simply sit and unwind.

Add a playful twist to your picnic and try your hand at classic lawn games like boules and ring toss, set up and ready to enjoy in the Great Fountain Garden. Enjoy a little friendly competition, big laughs, and unforgettable family moments in the sunshine.

Further information

  • This exclusive event has a limited number of tickets so you can enjoy the tranquil gardens without the crowds.
  • Please help us to keep the gardens clean and take your rubbish with you at the end of the evening.
  • In the event of bad weather, we may have to cancel the picnic evening; refunds will not be available in this case.
  • *The Palace, cafes, Kitchen Garden, Privy Garden, the Maze and Magic Garden will be closed.

Very well organised with not too many people so you could really appreciate the gardens as the sun went down.
