The Main Hall

The Undercroft
Once the setting for celebrations enjoyed by James I and his companions, the Undercroft makes a more intimate counterpart to the imposing Main Hall.
Rich in charm and character, the Undercroft’s intimate vaulted arches create the perfect setting for breakout sessions and refreshment breaks.
Capacities: Up to 350 guests for a standing reception.
Example two-day run of show
- Day 0 (Build): Load-in,set up across both spaces, AV checks, hospitality set.
- Day 1 (Plenary): 09:30 arrivals & coffee in Undercroft; 10:30 keynote in Main Hall; 12:30 networking lunch; 14:00 sessions; 18:00 reception.
- Day 2 (Depth): 09:00 workshops; 12:00 partner showcases; 15:30 closing; 17:00 celebration under the Rubens ceiling; 23:00 de-rig.
Availability and pricing
Banqueting House has reopened for events following essential conservation works. Daytime hire is from £16,000 + VAT; all-day & evening from £26,000 + VAT, with late extensions available to 01:00.
