Pre-booking for the three-course meal is essential.

Historic Royal Palaces members can invite guests to this event. Guest attendees must be accompanied by a member holding a valid membership. Please present your membership card alongside your booking confirmation at the entrance.

Tables are limited and subject to availability.

Join us for a Members' Christmas Dinner at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. Enjoy a specially curated three-course festive menu, including a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings, at an exclusive members' price of £40 per person. While you dine, a local musician will perform well-loved seasonal songs. As a special treat, members may invite guests to enjoy this festive evening.

After your meal, wander through the beautifully decorated shop, filled with festive finery and hand-picked gifts. As a gift from us, your member discount will increase to 20%, for one night only.* 

You’ll also have the chance to meet local suppliers and Historic Royal Palaces’ Chief Historian, Professor Tracy Borman, and enter a raffle for the chance to win the perfect day out at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Plus, keep an eye out for a very special visitor… Santa will be making an appearance!

Meet our special guests

Make your evening extra special by meeting a talented local supplier and Historic Royal Palaces team members who will be joining us on the night.

  • Professor Tracy Borman, Chief Historian at Historic Royal Palace - Meet Tracy and enjoy the opportunity to chat with her about her work. Tracy will also be signing copies of her books, available to purchase in the shop with your member discount.

  • Erin Grove Preserves - Enjoy a taste of Erin Grove’s delicious handmade preserves and discover more about the local ingredients and inspiration behind her range available to purchase on the night with your member discount.

  • Hillsborough Castle Gardens team - Bring a touch of festive charm to your home with one of our beautifully handmade Christmas wreaths, created by the Hillsborough Castle Gardens team and available to purchase on the night with your member discount.

Meet Santa

Santa will be making an appearance during the evening, adding a little extra festive magic to the event. Keep an eye out and you may get the chance to spot him, say hello and share a little Christmas cheer!

Enter our raffle on the evening for your chance to win the perfect day out at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

The lucky winner will enjoy a private, behind-the-scenes conservation tour with our Castles and Collections Manager, David Orr, followed by a delicious afternoon tea for two.

Further information

  • *Exclusions may apply. For the duration of the event only. Guests are not eligible for the members’ discount in the shop.

  • Please arrive at the time stated on your booking. To ensure the evening runs smoothly, guests will be seated at their booked dinner time. Arriving earlier will not mean you can be seated earlier, so we kindly ask that you plan your arrival accordingly.

  • The Christmas dinner is offered at a special member price for all attendees, including guests, and is not eligible for additional member discount.

  • Members are welcome to visit the shop and enjoy the increased discount even if not attending the dinner.

  • This event will take place in the Weston Pavilion café and shop. Free parking is available in our car park off the southbound A1 dual carriageway. There will be no pedestrian access from the village for this event.
