Discover Victoria’s Countryside Christmas this festive period at Kensington Palace.

Join the future Queen Victoria and her family as they spend Christmas in the countryside at Claremont House, Surrey. To mark 190 years since Victoria’s rural festivities, decorations and displays at Kensington Palace will capture the magical atmosphere of the young Princess’s outdoor surroundings.

Along the way, you will encounter snowy landscapes which captured Victoria’s imagination as we bring the outside into the palace. Follow in her footsteps as you encounter the people Victoria met on her trip and enjoy decorations inspired by gifts that the princess received.

Like many of us today, Victoria made a special trip to the theatre during the Christmas season. Get close to a star of the stage whose dancing impressed Victoria and inspired lively drawings by the princess.

View beautiful floristry and take in a display of trees hung with bespoke decorations, surrounded by period-style gifts. Sit inside a beautiful garden arbour and take your seat for a magical Christmas photo.
