Join us as we bring Kensington Palace's most colourful characters to life.

Travel back to a time when Kensington Palace was the ultimate party palace, packed with the most fashionable, ambitious and talented people of the day, all competing for popularity and power.

King George II is away, and power now rests in the hands of his brilliant and formidable Queen Caroline, ruling from Kensington Palace with wit, charm, and political cunning.

Discover a world where reputation was everything, whispered rumours could change lives, and every conversation could be a step closer to power. First, you must win the Queen's good favour.

But to get to the Queen you will need to outwit the powerful, perfumed and scandalous aristocrats that surround her.

Scandal at the palace!

The charming and roguish Lord Hervey has received a slanderous letter from his political rival. He must now defend his honour and challenge him to a duel! Who will win the duel and gain the all-important prestige, popularity and power?

*Please note no swords will be used in our representation of the duel.

Important information

Power Perfume and Scandal features four performers in costume. It will run as a series of lively, entertaining short scenes and performances in various locations, mainly in the King's State Apartments throughout the day.

Performances are family friendly and suitable for all ages.
