Our Palace in the Park walking tour takes you on a journey that covers over 300 years of history.

Explore the development of the palace and gardens, from its origins as a Jacobean mansion on the edge of a rural village, through its heyday as a royal playground, to the palace and expansive parkland that you see today.

Discover a royal alcove, lions heads, and Queen Caroline's passion for garden design. Visit the baroque masterpiece of Queen Anne’s Orangery and gain exclusive access inside the Sunken Garden.

Important information

There is a maximum of 10 people per tour, this tour will include wearing a headset.

Photography is allowed in some areas, but not others. Your Guide will instruct you on this throughout the tour. No filming is permitted throughout.

Tickets are available on-site only, and on the day only. Please note, these tours are subject to availability – please check at the ticket office upon arrival.

There is no wheelchair access or step-free access into the Sunken Garden. Some surfaces in the grounds are uneven.
