Autumn outdoor workshops
Join a family-friendly workshop to satisfy all budding adventurers. With different autumnal workshops happening across Halloween there's plenty of new fun skills to learn and experience. These sessions will be tailored to your group and are suitable for families of all ages.
25 October: Create a birdbox
11:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:30.
Connect with your crafty side and decorate your own birdbox for autumn. A capacity of 15 participants per time slot.
26 October: Halloween clay crafting workshop
11:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:30.
Create your own Halloween decoration using air dry clay, ready for you to take home to display. A capacity of 12 participants per time slot.
27 October: Nature art workshop
10:00, 11:30, 13:30 and 15:00.
Join us for a hands-on workshop where kids can get creative with natural materials and connect with the outdoors through art. Meet at the lower visitor centre, a capacity of 30 participants per time slot.
29, 30 and 31 October: Storytelling walks
10:30, 12:00, 13:45 and 15:15.
Join our fun, family-friendly storytelling walks through the gardens and listen to folk talks of the good folk, fairies, ghosts, witches and selkies. Each walk will be tailored to the audience in attendance and is suitable for children of all ages.
Pumpkin carving workshop
29, 30, 31 October
10:00, 11:15, 13:30 and 14:45.
Get into the spooky spirit and unleash your creativity at our pumpkin carving workshops. Maybe you want to try your hand carving a classic spooky grin, or a chillingly creepy design, or something totally unique. Guided by a professional artist we will provide the pumpkins, tools and inspiration, and you bring your imagination to create your own eerie masterpiece to light up your home.
Please note, pumpkins will be pre-gutted. This workshop is separately ticketed at £5 per pumpkin and more than one person can carve a pumpkin. Pre-booking is required.
