about this session
Key stage 3, Moderate learning difficulties (MLD) | Subject: History | Topics: Normans | Session Type: Route-based
The Norman Conquest of 1066 caused huge changes in England. This session explores the events leading up to the conquest, its effects, and what the construction of the Tower of London can tell us about this time.
With the help of one of the King’s courtiers, students will explore William’s struggle to become the new King of England in 1066, and the methods he used to consolidate power.
This session is delivered by a presenter skilled in supporting students with moderate learning difficulties.
This session is based entirely on route, in public areas of The Tower of London.
