We offer a reduced rate for home educators visiting our sites on weekdays during UK term time.

Home Educator Day events

We host dedicated days for home educators at some of our popular palaces throughout the year. To support you to have the best experience on these days we reduce school visits so that there is more space available to explore. You will have access to the site all day with a range of programmed and self-led activities available to support your visit.

Hampton Court Palace Home Educator Experience at ‘Henry VIII on Tour’ Festival, Thursday 26 June 2025

Join us for our Tudor Festival, in the gardens at Hampton Court Palace, as we bring to life the sights, sounds and excitement of King Henry VIII and his court on tour.  

The festival will attempt to recreate the colour, activity and atmosphere of a royal progress through a series of demonstration tents, performances and historical characters. Through vibrant, interactive and multi-sensory activities, learners will broaden their understanding of the Tudor world whilst having lots of fun!  

Home Educators will be given exclusive access to the outdoor festival site between 2.30pm- 4pm, as well as the opportunity to explore Hampton Court Palace and Gardens throughout the day.  

Pricing 

  • Admission costs £4.10 per child (5-16 years). Under 5's are free.
  • Adults are free on a 1 adult to 3 children ratio.
  • Tickets for additional adults cost £32.10 each.
