SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) | Subject: History | Topic: Georgians | Session type: Route-based and classroom 

Find out about life and art at the Georgian court. The session is delivered by a presenter skilled in supporting students with special educational needs. It is based both in the classroom and on the Georgian route, and includes the following: 

  • Singing a rhyme about exploring the palace
  • Handling replica objects.
  • A sensory exploration of the Georgian rooms in the palace 

Learning objectives 

Students will: 

  • Learn about Hampton Court’s stories and history. 
  • Be empowered to use their senses to explore new historic environments. 
  • Develop social and emotional skills. 

Who is this session aimed at?  

This session is suitable for students who attend special schools or units.  

Please note that the presenter will be in costume throughout, unless otherwise requested. The session is suitable for students aged between 6 and 18 years.
