How does Hampton Court Palace reflect England’s role in global discovery and colonialism during the Elizabethan Age?
Exploring themes including food, fashion and palace interiors, students will investigate global cultural influences on Hampton Court and the Elizabethan world, discovering evidence that the exchange of goods and even people went right to the heart of the Tudor court.
Learning objectives
Students will:
- Investigate Hampton Court Palace as a source of evidence of global cultural influences on the court of Queen Elizabeth I.
- Explore the Elizabethan world and its associations with historical slavery and colonialism.
