Chapel closures
The Chapel Royal of St Peter Ad Vincula is closed until the end of January 2026 while important conservation work takes place.
Wharf opening times
The Wharf is open daily: 07:00-19:00 unless stated below.
The Wharf will be closed on the following dates.
- 30 October: Wharf closing early at 18:00
- 31 October: Wharf opens later at 08.30 due to a lorry delivery
- 13 November: Wharf closing early at 18:00 for Gun Salute rehearsal.
- 14 November: Wharf closed for the gun salute (12:00-13:30)
- 17 - 21 November: Wharf opening at 08:30.
- 01 December: Wharf will open at 08:00.
- 02 December: Wharf will close early at 18:00
- 25 December: Closed all day.
- 05 January - 06 January: Closed.
Closures
Middle Tower (main visitor entrance)
Middle Tower will be closed until 26 April 2026 (open during busy periods) while important conservation work takes place. Middle Drawbridge will be the main visitor entrance when Middle Tower is closed.
Medieval Palace
The Medieval Palace will be closed between 03 - 07 November 2025 for essential maintenance works.
North Battlements
The North Battlements (Flint and Brick Towers) will be closed between 12 - 13 November 2025.
Armoury in Action
The Armoury in Action exhibition is closed until further notice.
Gun salutes
Please note the Wharf will close at least an hour before the gun salutes and there will be no access to the parts of the Wharf during the set up and duration of the gun salutes. Gun salutes take place at 13.00 and consist of 62 rounds unless otherwise stated.
The Wharf will also close the evening before each gun salute (from 18.00 to 21.00) for rehearsals.
Please note, the 13.00 Yeoman Warder Tour will be cancelled when a gun salute is taking place. They recommence at 13.30.
