About the author

Gareth Russell is a historian and broadcaster. He is the author of The Palace, the best-selling book on the history of Hampton Court.

His other books include Young and Damned and Fair, The Ship of Dreams and Do Let’s Have Another Drink, chosen as 'Book of the Year' in the Times.
