Schools only Tuesdays
Join us for special ‘schools only’ days on select dates throughout the year when schools can enjoy special access while the palace is closed to general visitors.
All school sessions are available to book as normal.
What areas of the palace will be open?
Schools will be able to explore the Tudor Apartments, Tudor Kitchens, all courtyards, the gardens (including the maze), a gift shop, audio guides and an allocated lunchroom (subject to availability). There will also be a pop up tea and coffee stand by the Clore.
What areas of the palace will be closed?
We anticipate that the Magic Garden and all other visitor routes in the palace including both cafes will be closed.
Character Encounters
Queen Anne Boleyn and her brother, George will be roaming the palace, ready to interact with your students and answer their questions. There will also be a costumed member of the Historic Kitchens Team in the Tudor kitchens to talk about food and feasting (until end of December).
There is no additional charge for these encounters and no need to book.
