About

Kate is Curator of Collections at the Tower of London, where she is responsible for the research, understanding, presentation and interpretation of the site.

Kate has previously curated exhibitions at the Imperial War Museum on a range of subjects, including: memories of the First World War; military and civilian awards for extreme bravery; Queen Elizabeth II’s relationship with war and the armed forces; cartoon and propaganda representations of Winston Churchill; and the permanent Second World War Galleries at IWM London. She also delivered various digital historical content, including a podcast series, Voices of the First World War. She was formerly Curator of the Churchill War Rooms, where she created a new multimedia guide and interpretation of the site.

Kate’s current research areas include torture and execution at the Tower; the history of the Tower ravens and the Tower in the Second World War. Her previous research projects centred on global histories, women’s experiences and political leadership in the Second World War.
