Accessibility

Pier Accessibility

Tower Bridge Quay provides step-free access from St Katharine’s Way. However, the Thames is a tidal river and the gradient for Tower Bridge Quay access is dictated by daily tides. The ramp to the pier will be steepest at low tide so may not be accessible during those times if you use a wheelchair or have reduced mobility. Tour timeslots taking place at low tide will be indicated at time of booking and tide information is available at tidepredictions.pla.co.uk. Please speak to a member of the team at Tower Bridge Quay if you require assistance when boarding.

Travelling with an essential companion or carer

If you require the assistance of an essential companion or carer, you can book a complimentary ticket when you purchase your own ticket, either online or at the ticket office. If you require assistance from more than one person, please contact us before you purchase your ticket. We may ask for proof of eligibility for the essential companion or carer concession on the day of your visit.

Impaired hearing accessibility

Every month there will be a BSL interpreted tour, dates will be added to this web page once they are confirmed, ahead of the opening of the tour later this year. Please check back in July for an update.

There will also be a complimentary printed tour script and map to those who are D/deaf or hearing impaired. Please make the team aware in advance or when you board the vessel for a copy.
