Enjoy a fun, family-friendly programme, full of chaos and silliness this spring at the Tower.
It's 1826 and the Duke of Wellington has just been made Constable of the Tower - a place that resembles more of an untamed, ramshackle town than the busy site we know today.
He’s been tasked with bringing some order to the Tower, whether folks like it or not! He’s got big plans, including shutting down the Royal Menagerie and the many taverns operating onsite. He might even drain the smelly old moat!
As word of Wellington's arrival makes its way around the Tower community, an impending sense of doom starts to set in. What will become of their chaotic yet beloved home and what about their livelihoods?
One thing’s for sure - change is afoot and not everyone’s happy about it.
Discover characters from the Tower's history
Join us this spring to discover some of the more eclectic characters connected to the Tower’s history and early 19th century London through their weird and wonderful jobs.
Will you choose to help the Iron Duke bring an end to the mayhem? Or will you side with the lovable, if a little disorderly, residents of the Tower?
