Join Dennis and his Beano pals

This February half term, Beano’s travelling through time and we need YOU to join in the fun!

Join us as Dennis and his friends crash their time machine into the fortress. When Dennis, Minnie, Harsha, Rubi and Gnasher are late for a school trip to the Tower, they turn their go-kart into a time machine. It doesn’t quite go to plan and the pals find themselves flying through time and crash landing at the Tower - warping time and space in the process.

Vital pieces of the go-kart have fallen off, but they don’t know where, or when. They need your help locating these pieces around the Tower so they can repair the tangled timeline and get back home to Beanotown.

Can you help find all the missing pieces to the time machine so Dennis and his friends can get back home?

Fun family trail

Along the way, you’ll find iconic Beano characters on a fun family trail. You may also bump into some real-life characters connected to the Tower’s past, from Queen Elizabeth I to Guy Fawkes.

They’ve been caught up in the time-travelling mayhem too and it’s tampered with their stories. What silliness and shenanigans will they be getting up to?!

A special Beano comic story

You'll also collect your own copy of a special Beano comic strip story on arrival at the Tower - with handy clues for finding the missing pieces of the go-kart time machine.

Why did the raven cross the road?

To get to the peck-nic!

Further information

Costumed performances will take place throughout the day at various times and locations around the Tower. The performers may be doing something silly, but please remember to treat them with respect. We’re sure they’ll be happy to pose for photos if asked but remember to give them space.

Performances have been created by Nick Devallé and Jim Rastall for None But Fools. Produced by Debbie Hicks.

The Beano trail at the Tower is an outdoor event. In adverse weather, performances may be cancelled at short notice.

Accessibility

The Beano trail follows a step- free route. For more information, please visit the Tower's Accessibility page.
