Looking to book? First, decide if you want your school visit to include a booked session. If you do, then please visit our session pages which provide further information on individual sessions. Come back here and complete the booking request form below once you know the name of the session you would like to book and your preferred times.
If you don’t wish to book a session, then please go straight to our booking request form below and select a “Self-led” visit.

Kensington Palace will be closed during January 2025.

Available Wednesday-Friday during UK term time.
Whats included:
- Palace admission including all visitor routes open on the date.
- Pre-visit email including two teacher planning passes.
- Dedicated lunchroom for groups with pre-booked sessions.

Sessions (additional cost)
Our curriculum-based sessions are led by expert presenters who bring the history of the palace to life through lively, interactive learning opportunities.
We offer a selection of sessions for UK schools linked to a range of subjects for key stages 1-3, including SEND.
See our session pages for prices and capacities. All schools that book a session will also have opportunity to explore the site, self-led when they are not in their session/s.

Subsidised rates are available Wednesday - Friday during UK term time only, not school or bank holidays.

All school visits must be paid for in advance.
Key stage 1 (age 4-7) = 1:5
Key stages 2, 3 and 4 (age 7-15) = 1:10
Key stage 5 and up (age 16+) = 1:15
SEND groups can determine their own ratios
Groups with an inadequate number of accompanying adults may not be admitted. For groups with less than 10 students, we require at least 2 supervising adults.
We ask classes to break up into smaller, supervised groups whilst inside the palace spaces.
For the enjoyment of all our visitors we now have a maximum group size of 150 students per booking . If you wish to bring more students, please come across multiple dates. If this is not possible, please contact us to discuss further.
There is no minimum group number required to book a school visit, we require at least 2 adults with every booking.
All sessions have a strict maximum capacity, please refer to the individual session pages for more information about what these are. We are unable to be exceed our session capacities.

Complete the booking request form and submit it. All school group admissions must be booked in advance, we recommend booking at least two months in advance as dates do sell out quickly. Payment is due six weeks before visiting. If you have any questions, wish to check availability or amend a booking request form you have already submitted please contact the schools team via email at kensingtonlearning@hrp.org.uk.

After receiving your booking request, we will email you a confirmation and invoice which must be paid in advance of your visit and according to our payment terms.
- Your invoice will be attached to your confirmation email. Payment details can be found on your invoice.
- Our preferred method of payment is by BACS. When making payment please ensure you quote your account number and your school/company name. If possible, send us remittance advice.
- Payment is due six weeks prior to visiting. Extra tickets must be purchased on the day at standard group rates.
- Bookings with less than six weeks' notice require immediate payment. The cancellation and amendment deadline is 17:00 on the day after the booking is confirmed.
- We regret that no refunds can be given for cancellations or amendments made less than six weeks in advance of your visit. This includes non-arrivals on the day.
