Join Claire Woods on New Year’s Day for a guided walk in Hillsborough Castle’s enchanting royal gardens. Welcome the new year with a breath of fresh air and good company. 

The walk will start at 11.00 from the Weston Pavilion (Lower Visitor Centre), with Claire guiding you through the Walled Garden, Lost Garden, and onward to the castle before meandering back through the tranquil Glen. Immerse yourself in the crisp scents, gentle sounds, and serene winter atmosphere.

For those seeking a little more adventure, extend your walk with Claire around the lake and sweeping meadows before returning to the café – perfectly timed for lunch.

• The walk covers some steep, uneven and muddy areas of the gardens so visitors are advised to wear appropriate waterproof footwear and clothing.
• In the event of extreme weather, the walk may be cancelled at short notice. A decision will be made on the day.
