The much-loved Hampton Court Palace Tulip Festival returns this spring with tens of thousands of tulips and vibrant spring flowers in bloom.
Recognised as Britain’s Largest and Greatest Tulip Heritage Garden at the World Tulip Summit in 2024, the festival continues to showcase the beauty, variety and craftsmanship of historic and contemporary planting across the palace gardens.
See the beautiful spring flower displays
As you wander through the grounds, discover carefully planned spring planting, from bold tulip displays to other flowering bulbs that reflect the changing seasons.
Take your time exploring the courtyards and admire blooming displays spilling from Tudor wine fountains and vintage horse carts, before heading to the Great Fountain to see the floating tulip bowls.
Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful escape or catching up with friends, there’s no better way to welcome the warmer days ahead.
Explore more of the palace
After enjoying the spring flowers, make the most of your visit and head inside Hampton Court Palace. Discover Henry VIII’s magnificent Great Hall, wander through the historic kitchens, then rest your feet with a hand-crafted coffee and slice of cake from our café after a busy day.
Visiting on opening weekend? You can also join the Lindt GOLD BUNNY Hunt. It’s the perfect way to add some Easter fun to your visit as you explore the gardens.
When to visit
Hampton Court Palace and gardens will be open every day during the Tulip Festival, giving you the flexibility to visit when it suits you best.
Our expert gardeners predict the tulips will be in full bloom from 11 April until 26 April, though Mother Nature always has the final say. For the latest updates, follow us on social media or check this webpage.
