Members-Only Minibeast Hunt

Explore the Kitchen Garden at Hampton Court Palace

  • An exclusive family event for Historic Royal Palace members.
  • Search for minibeasts, great and small, in the Kitchen Garden with your worksheet and magnifying glass at the ready.
  • Once you've finished your hunt, enjoy the minibeast-themed colouring table.

Become a wildlife explorer at Hampton Court Palace on this members-only hunt around our recreated 18th century Kitchen Garden.

Pick up a worksheet and a magnifying glass to begin your search for minibeasts. The Kitchen Garden is a hive of activity boasting insects big and small, including ants, worms, beetles, snails, bumble bees and more. Look under leaves, inside pots and have a go at digging. Tick off the minibeasts as you go, will you find them all? After you've completed the hunt, enjoy the colouring table for even more minibeast fun.

Worksheet and magnifying glass included in the cost of activity and are to keep. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Activity recommended for children aged between 5 and 7 years old.

Advance booking is required to secure your place. Same-day bookings may be possible, subject to availability; tickets purchased via your member login.

The Kitchen Garden is an active garden, growing a variety of fruit, vegetables and herbs. Please email us with any allergy concerns at members@hrp.org.uk prior to booking.
