This beloved seasonal tradition opens from 21 November until 04 January 2026. Be immersed in the magical scenes where Henry VIII once walked, surrounded by beautiful greenery, captivating fairy lights and a warm, festive experience.

Alongside fewer skaters for a more intimate experience, the traditions of Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink are enhanced, taking years of a traditional London winter staple into a whole new atmosphere. With a brand new rink for smoother, longer-lasting skate sessions and fresh and updated skates for comfort, every detail is crafted for the perfect winter skate.

Make your day unforgettable with a trip inside Hampton Court Palace, which will be transformed into a food lover’s winter wonderland at this year’s Festive Fayre on 05 - 07 and 12 - 14 December.

Enjoy award-winning coffee from Department of Coffee & Social Affairs or warm up with fresh delicious pastries, quiches, sausage rolls and more delivered straight from the oven and made with love by SW London's favourite Deelight Bakery.

Skating for all

The rink will also provide quiet sessions from 10am daily. 'Quiet & Calm' skate sessions have reduced capacity, static lights and quieter and calmer music than regular sessions. Ideal for anyone with disabilities and parents with toddlers.

Important information

Before your visit, please note the following:

Skating sessions last up to 45 minutes.
Admission to Hampton Court Palace is not included in your ice rink ticket.
Please arrive 30 to 40 minutes before your session to get ready to take to the ice.

Skate aids are available to hire at the rink for £6.00 on a first-come, first-served basis and are only available for children under 120cm. Rink staff will measure all children hiring a skate aid to ensure they meet the height requirement.
