Using replica objects that are based on historical artefacts and excerpts from contemporary Tudor sources, children will find out how the past is constructed from a range of sources and discuss concepts such as bias.
Children will weigh the evidence to construct a balanced opinion of Henry VIII by asking key enquiry questions.
Learning objectives
Children will:
- Explore how evidence can be used to draw conclusions about the past and understand its limitations.
- Find out that there is more to Henry VIII than the popular stereotypes.
- Learn that important things happened to the King at Hampton Court Palace.
