Visit Banqueting House for Opens Days this November. After an extended closure for essential conservation work, we’re delighted to reopen our doors to the public with a first look before we open with a new visitor experience next summer.
The palace is the sole survivor of the lost royal Palace of Whitehall, once the home of the archbishops of York and, later, Henry VIII.
Designed by Baroque architect, Inigo Jones, the building also houses the magnificent Ruben’s ceiling and was the execution site of Charles I.
Experience four centuries of art, architecture and history in one building. Explore The Undercroft, used by James I, and admire the incredible works of art and sculpture around the palace.
