Join us for an exclusive talk with author N. R. Daws, as he unveils the gripping details of his upcoming book, Murder at the Palace.
Set within the mysterious Grace and Favour Apartments at Hampton Court Palace, this brilliantly mind-boggling locked door mystery follows the palace housekeeper as she unravels the shocking death of one of the esteemed ladies in residence.
The evening will begin with Assistant Curator Minette Butler, who will introduce the fascinating world of Grace and Favour. N. R. Daws will then take to the stage, uncovering the secrets behind this community that shaped his riveting new mystery. Prepare for an exciting journey through history as he reveals notable residents who inspired his unforgettable cast of characters.

N. R. Daws is a long-standing Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Following the deaths of his father and uncle from heart disease, he became a volunteer fundraiser and was awarded an MBE for charitable services in 2006. An alumnus of the Curtis Brown Creative writing school, he achieved Highly Commended in the Blue Pencil Agency First Novel Award 2019, where he met his agent, Nelle Andrew of Rachel Mills Literary. His first novel, A Quiet Place to Kill was published by Thomas & Mercer in 2021.

Murder at the Palace can be purchased in all good bookshops and online from the 13th March and is available in Hardback, ebook and audio RRP £20.
