Meet the Tudors

Step into the dangerous declining years of Henry’s VIII’s reign.

Join us each weekend at Hampton Court Palace and meet the Tudors that made the court of Henry VIII tick.

This spring, discover some of the roles that were required for the smooth operation of his palace, from Yeomen Guards and porters to daily waiters, junior courtiers, and kitchen staff.

Learn about the less famous roles that made up King Henry VIII's court, the stories of the women and men who performed them, and find out if you would have been suited to a life at court in the 16th century.

Spot our Tudor staff spread throughout the palace and courtyards. Don’t be shy - come and ask them about the jobs that they would have done to make Henry VIII’s court function.
